Stephen Black studied Art, Language and Literature at L'Université de Toulouse au Mirail, Toulouse, France, and Art and Design at the New School of Visual Concepts. He is a graduate of Whitworth University.

​

His design and photography work have received numerous awards and have been featured in many publications including Communication Arts Magazine, PRINT Magazine and Print Casebooks, and American Corporate Identity.
